This day, this venue, this couple. When I first met Bailey and Colleen, I was curious on why they chose me. But when they explained their style and vision I knew immediately we were a perfect fit. Colleen made all the decorations herself with her design and decoration background. They picked the venue, Carington House in Buda because it fit their style perfectly. I remember telling my boyfriend when I showed up to the venue, that if I was a venue this place would be me. With all the history, adorable vintage decorations, and the simple but elegant ceremony site; it made for a perfect photographical wedding day.
When I arrived on site, Colleen was to no surprise for any bride, very behind. But unlike any other bride she was completely calm, and having fun. Despite being late and the luring storm rolling in; surely to crush the plan of having an outdoor ceremony.
To out luck, the storm stopped just in time, and allowed us to have a cool in temperature, high contrast back drop for the adorable ceremony.
As we frantically got Colleen dressed, and hair prepped by Chloe Cox; we got her down the stairs, to meet her awaited husband to be Bailey.
Capturing Bailey’s reaction was priceless. He showed such admiration, love and happiness at first site of Colleen. They have been together such a long time; it was a special moment to capture them taking the vows to continue to love each other unconditionally.
During the ceremony their dog Linus, would not stop wimpering till Colleen reluctantly asked her family to give her his leash with Linus attached to it. Immediately he stopped wimpering and laid contently on the train of her dress. Perfect opportunity for an amazingly adorable photograph.
The rest of the day was perfect, and went by so smoothly, in the transitioning from the portraits, to brunch, to cake cutting, to first dances. It was truly a celebration of love and happiness. I truly will always remember this wedding and cannot wait to capture more of Collen’s and Bailey’s lives as they grow in their love.
Congrats Bailey and Colleen.
